How to Check Aadhaar Status Online Using Enrollment Number

When you apply for Aadhaar or update details, UIDAI gives you a 28-digit Aadhaar Enrollment Number (EID) on your acknowledgement slip. Many people get confused and wonder:

  • What is my enrolment number?
  • Where do I find the date and time?
  • Do I need to look somewhere else?

Don’t worry — everything you need is already inside that long number.

Breaking Down the Aadhaar Enrollment Number

Sample Aadhaar Enrollment Number:

1234123451234520250920093050

Here’s how it works:

1. Enrolment Centre Code / Operator ID / Enrolment Number

  • First 4 digits → Centre Code: 1234
  • Next 5 digits → Operator ID: 12345
  • Next 5 digits → Enrollment Number: 12345
  • Together: 1234/12345/12345

2. Date of Enrollment

  • Next 8 digits → 2025-09-20

3. Time of Enrollment

  • Last 6 digits → 09:30:50 AM

Final format on slip:
1234/12345/12345 20/09/2025 09:30:50

So you don’t need to worry about “where to find” date or time — it’s all part of your EID.
