What Is the FASTag Annual Pass 2025?

FASTag, introduced in India in 2014, uses RFID technology for automatic toll payments, allowing vehicles to pass through toll plazas without stopping.

The FASTag Annual Pass 2025 works like a season ticket—you pay once and get 200 trips valid for a year. This removes the need for frequent top-ups and can save regular highway commuters both time and money.

Who Is Eligible for the FASTag Annual Pass 2025?

NHAI has confirmed that this scheme applies only to:

  • Private cars
  • Jeeps
  • Vans

Not eligible: Commercial vehicles such as taxis, buses, and trucks.

FASTag requirements:

  • Your FASTag must be active and properly attached to your windshield.
  • It must be linked to your Vehicle Registration Number (VRN).
  • If registered only with a chassis number, you need to update it before applying.

📌 Note: The pass is non-transferable and linked to your specific FASTag.

How to Apply for FASTag Annual Pass 2025

  1. Log in to your FASTag account via your bank’s website/app, the FASTag app, or the IHMCL.
  2. Select the Annual Pass option.
  3. Pay ₹3,000 online.
  4. Once verified, the pass activates within two hours, and your 200-trip counter begins.

How Trips Are Counted in the FASTag Annual Pass 2025

  • Point-based toll plazas: One crossing counts as 1 trip. A return journey counts separately.
  • Closed toll systems: One complete entry–exit trip counts as 1 trip.
